Mary E. Dennison (Burns) is an Associate in the Cleveland office. She is a member of the Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, Premises Liability Defense, Products Liability practice groups where she works with manufacturers, public entities and insurers.

Prior to joining Sutter O’Connell, Mary acquired invaluable experience as an associate attorney for a medical malpractice and personal injury firm in Cleveland, Ohio where she represented individuals injured in motor vehicle crashes and in hospitals. She oversaw many aspects of the pre-litigation process and assisted in settling several cases.

Mary is a graduate of Capital University Law School where she graduated with cum laude honors and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. During law school, Mary was a member of the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team. Her brief placed fourth in the Washington, D.C. Regional competition. She also gained valuable experience as a Judicial Extern for Justice Pat DeWine at the Supreme Court of Ohio. She received the CALI Award for achievement in Appellate Advocacy as well. While attending law school, Mary worked as a law clerk with a tax law and business litigation firm and an oil and gas firm obtaining unique experience from each. In addition, she acted as a hearing officer within the Franklin County Juvenile Court to assist with its diversion program, Teen Court.
