The Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys conferred its Excellence in Advocacy Award to Lawrence A. Sutter III, posthumously, at the OACTA Annual Meeting in Cleveland on November 16, 2017.  The Excellence in Advocacy Award annually honors a lawyer who has distinguished him or herself over a number of years by the recipient’s professionalism, intelligence, creativity, judgment, personality, sensitivity, civility, advocacy skills, community involvement, efforts to educate newer attorneys, and effective representation of clients both in and outside the courtroom.  The award was accepted by Judge Paula Giulitto, Larry’s wife.  Larry’s sister Michelle and brother Scott were in attendance at the awards presentation as well.  The firm was represented by managing shareholder Matt O’Connell.  Sutter O’Connell is proud of Larry’s legacy and we are deeply appreciative to OACTA for its recognition of Larry’s dedication to the law, our clients, and the education of young trial lawyers.
