Born in Ohio and raised in Texas, Jim spent seven years as a high school teacher and football coach. He then attended the University of Akron School of Law, where he graduated first in his class, summa cum laude. Jim was named to the National Law School Dean's List. He also holds a Master's degree in education.
Jim is a trial lawyer who represents major corporations and automobile manufacturers in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases across the country for more than a decade. He has tried cases in six states involving multi-million dollar exposure and allegations of product liability, premises liability, construction site negligence, toxic exposure, and trucking accidents. Jim is also active in the training of young trial lawyers at the firm, and volunteers his time to assist the nationally acclaimed University of Akron competition trial team program.
