With a practice focusing primarily on product liability, warranty and trucking and transportation litigation, John has had the opportunity to counsel and defend some of the most recognizable companies operating in these industries. That being said, John has also successfully defended many local companies with manufacturing and distribution operations at all levels of the stream of commerce. He has invaluable experience in all aspects of civil litigation and has personally handled matters from initial investigation through trial.
Since joining the firm in 2008, John has become licensed in Ohio and West Virginia, and has distinguished himself as a leader among our young attorneys as well as in these larger legal communities. As an active member of OACTA and the DRI, as well as several bar associations, John has taken a role in the institutions formed to further the training and experience necessary to zealously protect the rights of civil defendants. His dedication to the aggressive representation of his clients and his practice of maintaining an attitude of professionalism resulted in John’s recognition as a Rising Star in the 2011 edition of Ohio Super Lawyers.
Although his free time is always at a premium, John finds time to give back to his Alma Mater by coaching the newest members of Akron’s trial team. As a member of the team, John was an advocate in multiple competitions across the nation and was lead counsel of Akron's team that won the National Championship at the National Civil Trial Competition in Los Angeles, California. In addition, John was awarded "Outstanding Advocate" of the Championship round of that tournament.
