BrattonTheresa is our firm’s newest attorney. She graduated cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law, where she received many academic honors. She was named most outstanding trial advocacy student, received an award for her legal research and writing skills, and served as an assistant editor of the Akron Law Review in 2009-2010.

Theresa also excelled as a member of the University of Akron’s nationally acclaimed Mock Trial program.  In 2008, she was a National Finalist at the Buffalo-Niagara Mock Trial tournament—the largest single-site mock trial tournament in the United States—where her team placed second out of 40 teams.  She was twice a finalist at the American Association for Justice Regional Student Trial Advocacy competition, and in 2009 took first place at the Landskroner Closing Argument competition in Cleveland.  Theresa currently assists the Akron Law trial team program as an assistant coach.

Theresa’s extracurricular activities included a tenure as president of the Environmental Law Society and the Akron Law Chapter of the American Association for Justice.  Currently, Theresa is a member of the Cleveland Kiwanis Club, where she participates in projects focused on assisting Cleveland’s underprivileged youth. 

Theresa will focus her practice at the firm on the defense of products liability and transportation industry cases.
